A test of the collision avoidance system installed on a Cityrunner tram operated by local operator MPK-Łódź Sp. z o.o. took place on Łódź tracks. The system was manufactured by Bosch, and Enica's role in the project was to supply the system and integrate it with its own devices. The collision avoidance system is designed to assist drivers and reduce the risk of collisions. It identifies objects that may be in the tram's collision path. In the event of a collision threat, the driver is first warned by a visual signal on the control panel, then by an audible signal, and the tram then applies the brakes. If the test is successful, six more trams will be equipped with the system.
